Wilton Cake Decorating Course 1: Lesson 1

My first class went well. It is a really small class, just me and another girl. I say girl because she is between 12-14. Her grandma brought her to class and stayed to watch.  We didn't do too much, mostly listened as the first lesson was about baking a cake and making icing.  We were able to practice some stars on cookies toward the end of the class and got a tour of the Wilton aisle in the store.

Call me an overachiever, but I already have my stuff ready for the next class, including the class icing and cake I had to make using the Wilton method and the tools and other stuff needed. The class isn't until Saturday. Think I may be a bit excited? LOL!

On a side note and totally not class related.. I will be making some cupcakes soon for one of the girls I used to work with. She is getting married Jan. 19 and would like me to make her some cupcakes for that. I will be covering them with fondant and piping snowflakes on them. So, Friday, I get to go shopping for the stuff to make those. She will be coming to pick them up on Friday, Jan. 18. I'm excited for that as well.

Look for a new post soon, like within the week soon. I have something exciting to share, but am going to wait until I can get a picture.  There will be a new post about Lesson 2, Monday, Jan. 14..

Have something to say, say it, but be nice. I do not have a problem finding the delete button. :D
